Financial Control Manager - Al-Futtaim Retail - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Al-Futtaim Retail is seeking a highly experienced Financial Control Manager to join its Head Office in Dubai. This role will lead central retail controlling functions, ensure compliance with corporate policies, mitigate financial risks, and oversee complex intercompany transactions while supporting business growth through strategic financial management.

What You'll Do

• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing transactions, balance sheet and high-risk account reviews involving multiple intercompany dealings, and deliver weekly/monthly reporting in line with organizational standards
• Oversee timely settlement and acceptance of intercompany transactions in accordance with group policies
• Identify accounting and financial issues, propose solutions, and standardize processes across functions such as FSSC, O2C, Group Tax, Group Finance, and P&C
• Lead and monitor SLAs across retail brands covering cost allocations, loyalty program management, revenue recognition, accruals, and breakage management
• Facilitate and reduce delays in store turnover audits and certification for MENA and SEA retail outlets with external auditors
• Manage insurance coverage for the retail group, including premium negotiations and claims recovery
• Implement and maintain IFRS 16 compliance for lease accounting and PPE management
• Manage the company's lease portfolio, ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, and analysis
• Track and monitor promotions and gift voucher issuances across retail operations
• Ensure compliance with UAE corporate tax laws, manage filings, and support tax planning to optimize liabilities
• Prepare and present monthly and ad-hoc financial reports to cross-functional stakeholders
• Oversee petty cash management for the retail divisional office and ensure accurate reporting
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of financial controlling or audit experience, preferably in retail
• Strong knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 16), transfer pricing, and UAE tax compliance
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate across departments
