To prepare accurate cost estimates and BOQs for interior fit-out projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documents. Ensure all estimates reflect current market rates and align with company margin and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Review project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to prepare cost estimates and detailed BOQs.
Conduct quantity take-offs for architectural, civil, and MEP fit-out elements.
Request, analyze, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Maintain and update cost database (labor, material, subcontractor rates).
Coordinate with the design, procurement, and execution teams for input and clarification.
Prepare and submit tender documents within the specified deadlines.
Conduct value engineering exercises to suggest cost-saving alternatives.
Assist in contract negotiation and handover to project teams.
Identify and manage potential project risks related to cost overruns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering / quantity surveying or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of UAE experience in fit-out estimation.
Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, suppliers, and subcontractor rates in UAE.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel (or any quantity take-off tool).
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
