Job Description

As a Driver at Caracal Light Ammunitions, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of staff, visitors, and materials. You will be responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles in excellent condition, adhering to UAE traffic laws, and following company safety and security protocols - especially when handling goods, ammunition, or hazardous materials.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate authorized company vehicles in accordance with the driver's UAE license category.
Perform daily pre-trip checks and ensure vehicles are in safe and clean working condition.
Transport staff, visitors, goods, and ammunition as directed, ensuring timely and secure deliveries.
Maintain an accurate driver's logbook and comply with company vehicle usage policies.
Adhere strictly to UAE Traffic Rules and internal safety regulations.
Conduct regular vehicle inspections, including tyre pressure, fluid levels, and general maintenance.
Coordinate with the Admin Department to ensure timely vehicle registration renewals and documentation.
Assist in logistical activities, including loading, unloading, inventory checks, and local deliveries.
Immediately report any accidents, damages, or safety incidents to the Department Manager and Security.
Handle hazardous or explosive materials in compliance with company safety procedures and HSE policies.
HSE Responsibilities
Comply with all occupational safety and health (OSH) procedures and safe working practices.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety systems.
Be familiar with emergency response and evacuation procedures.
Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly.
Support risk assessments and contribute to maintaining a safe workplace.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Licenses:
Valid UAE Driving License (Light Vehicle, Heavy Truck, and Heavy Bus - as applicable).
Experience:
3-5 years of UAE driving experience.
Experience in a defense, logistics, or industrial setting preferred.
