Position Overview
Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment is seeking an accomplished Director of Technical Facilities to lead the engineering, facilities management, and sustainability operations for Global Snow. This strategic leadership role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of snow and indoor ski facilities across regional and global locations. The Director will drive innovation in energy management, sustainability integration, and technical excellence to deliver world-class guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for all technical, facilities, and sustainability functions within Global Snow operations.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for snowmaking, refrigeration, humidity control, and slope management systems.
• Manage capital projects including upgrades, refurbishments, and new facility developments.
• Ensure technical and operational compliance with EN, ASTM, and international health and safety standards.
• Develop and implement energy efficiency and carbon-reduction initiatives aligned with Majid Al Futtaim's Net Positive sustainability goals.
• Lead technical innovation across assets, introducing smart technologies for predictive maintenance and energy optimization.
• Manage the lifecycle of key assets and equipment to ensure operational longevity and cost efficiency.
• Supervise cross-functional teams responsible for facility operations, sustainability reporting, and technical performance.
• Oversee redevelopment projects, ensuring guest experience continuity during major upgrades or renovations.
• Embed a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and environmental responsibility across all operations.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering; Master's or PMP certification preferred.
• 10-15 years of leadership experience in technical operations, facilities management, or engineering within large-scale leisure, theme park, or snow resort environments.
• Expertise in energy management, sustainability programs, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and life safety systems.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects from design to commissioning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong financial acumen for CAPEX and OPEX planning.
