Key Responsibilities
Perform any other tasks related to the department's work, as assigned by the Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Regulation and Governance.
Manage organizational units within the department, monitor their performance, and prepare reports to prevent duplication of objectives and tasks.
Prepare reports on institutional performance and evaluation results, in coordination with the Policies & Academic Planning Department and the Higher Education Data & Analytics Department.
Propose strategic and operational plans for the department, develop performance indicators, and work to achieve them.
Conduct periodic assessments of public and private higher education institutions according to the governance framework.
Coordinate with ministry units and relevant authorities to plan and monitor inspections of targeted higher education institutions.
Identify strengths and weaknesses in the operations and performance of public and private higher education institutions.
Develop and continuously update a national governance framework for public and private higher education institutions in coordination with relevant national entities.
Develop licensing and establishment standards for public and private higher education institutions and education service offices, in coordination with competent authorities.
Develop inspection systems for public and private higher education institutions, including methodology, work mechanisms, and audit tools.
Strengthen relationships with external partners to establish strategic partnerships, motivate internal stakeholders, and manage change to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement performance-based classification of institutions in coordination with the National Qualifications Authority, Accreditation Commission, and Higher Education Data & Analytics Department.
Monitor violations in higher education institutions, classify them, and propose corrective actions to the relevant authorities.
Lead, guide, review, and approve departmental work procedures, performance indicators, and quality standards, proposing improvements as necessary.
Follow up on institutional development and performance improvement plans in coordination with the Policies & Academic Planning Department and the Accreditation Commission.
Oversee administrative processes such as planning, budgeting, reporting, service delivery, monitoring, evaluation, and improvement.
Develop performance improvement plans for public and private higher education institutions based on evaluation and quality results.
Implement internal plans to develop team-building culture and continuous learning to ensure high-quality work delivery.
