A compliance manager is responsible for ensuring that the company\'s policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards. The compliance manager also oversees the implementation and enforcement of the compliance program, as well as the training and education of staff on compliance issues.
What you will do:
  • Develop, review, and update the company\'s compliance policies and procedures in accordance with applicable local and international laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and audit the company\'s operations and activities to identify and assess compliance risks and gaps.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address compliance issues
  • Provide guidance and advice to management and staff on compliance matters and best practices.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as legal, audit, risk, and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage and supervise the compliance team and ensure their performance and development.
  • Liaise with regulators on compliance related matters.
  • Maintain compliance calendar for the company.
  • Design and deliver compliance training and education programs for staff and management.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance reports and documentation for internal and external purposes.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in compliance regulations and standards.
Required skills to be successful:
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance laws and regulations applicable to insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance software and tools.

What equips you for the role:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in law or related field.
  • Bilingual \xe2\x80\x93 Arabic and English proficiency
  • Minimum of five years of experience in compliance or legal roles within insurance industry
  • Certification in compliance would be an added advantage
