Compliance Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement company policies and regulations
  • Oversee all business operations relating to compliance including policies, investments, and procedures
  • Draft, modify and implement company policies
  • Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
  • Design and monitor control systems to deal with violations of legal rules and internal policies
  • Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements
  • Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or common issues
  • Coordinate with different department managers to review all departmental compliance policies
  • Perform periodic audits on company procedures and processes
  • Lead employee training sessions on legal and compliance issues
  • Supervise compliance officers and team
Other Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a compliance officer, compliance manager, or similar position
  • Holding Compliance & AML/CTF module Certification (CME-2)
  • Holding General Securities Qualification Certificate (CME-1)
  • Certified Compliance Officer (CCO)
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations
  • Previous experience of working with venture-back start-ups is a plus
  • Financial acumen - the capacity to demonstrate knowledge of and insight into financial principles and processes and identify inconsistencies in data
  • Understanding of Capital Market Authority regulations, and policies in Saudi Arabia
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively: outstanding analysis skills, strong project/process management skills
  • Significant experience performing complex financial analysis and modeling and ideally some experience with partnership agreements
  • Ability to assign priorities to multiple requests for information, while ensuring integrity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic
  • MBA or other advanced degrees; CFA certification is an advantage
