CLEANER
Position Title: Cleaner (Janitorial Staff)
Reports To: Team Leader or Supervisor
Job Purpose:
To perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the assigned area is clean, tidy, sanitary, and safe. The cleaner is responsible for executing daily cleaning routines to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:

• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in assigned areas (e.g., offices, hallways, lobbies, restrooms).
• Surface Cleaning: Dust furniture, fixtures, window sills, ledges, and other surfaces.
• Restroom Sanitation: Clean and disinfect all restroom surfaces, including toilets, urinals, sinks, countertops, and mirrors. Replenish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Waste Management: Empty all trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Glass Cleaning: Clean interior glass doors, partitions, and windows.
• Spot Cleaning: Address spills, stains, and marks promptly to maintain a clean appearance.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and report low levels of cleaning supplies to the Team Leader.
• Equipment Care: Use and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums, floor buffers) properly. Report any malfunctions.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Report any safety hazards (e.g., wet floors, broken fixtures) immediately.
• Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• No formal education required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and standing for long periods.
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
