Job Description

We are a well-established group in the UAE looking to hire an experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on structural and finishing works. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing material take-offs, preparing accurate BOQs, and developing cost estimates based on current UAE market prices for both civil and architectural elements.

This is a long-term technical role within a fast-paced, development-driven environment, ideal for professionals who can work independently and deliver structured, commercially sound estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed material take-offs (MTO) from architectural, structural, and ID drawings Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for: Civil Works: excavation, foundations, concrete, blockwork, plaster, screed, waterproofing Finishes: tiling, marble, paint, ceilings, doors, windows, joinery, cladding, railings, skirtings Provide accurate material pricing using UAE supplier rates Estimate labor costs (per sqm/item/unit) for installation and execution Recommend suitable brands, material specs, and alternatives Prepare trade-wise cost breakdowns and summary sheets Support procurement team in comparing contractor offers and performing value engineering

Requirements:

5-10 years of experience in the UAE in civil/finishes estimation and quantity surveying Proven ability to prepare BOQs and MTOs from drawings independently Strong understanding of UAE market material prices and labor productivity rates Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and BOQ formatting Familiarity with authority standards and local construction practices Detail-oriented, commercially aware, and self-managed

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management Experience with mid-rise or high-end residential/commercial projects Exposure to interior fit-out and architectural detailing is an advantage

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
