The Chef de Partie - Pastry & Bakery is responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. This role involves overseeing a specific section of the pastry and bakery kitchen, managing junior chefs, and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, bake, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and bread.
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all products.
Develop new recipes and seasonal dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Pastry Chef.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste.
Introduce new pastry and bakery items to enhance the menu.
Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate modern pastry techniques.
Work with the team to create special event and festive dessert items.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a pastry or bakery section.
Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Baking, or Culinary Arts is preferred.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert plating.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and a passion for creativity in pastry arts.
