Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, and specialist systems
• Establish preferred supplier frameworks, rate contracts, and long-term agreements
• Drive standardization, value engineering, and lifecycle cost optimization initiatives
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers within the MEP category
• Oversee end-to-end procurement for major MEP packages across multiple projects
• Lead RFQs and RFPs, conduct technical and commercial evaluations, and manage high-value negotiations
• Finalize vendor selection, contracts, payment terms, warranties, and service-level agreements
• Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and cash flow plans
• Partner with MEP engineers, project managers, design consultants, quantity surveyors, and finance teams
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, OEMs, subcontractors, and system integrators
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery, quality, and compliance metrics
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and audit requirements
• Lead, mentor, and develop procurement engineers and category team members
• Prepare procurement dashboards, reports, and strategic updates for senior management

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• 12-18 years of experience in MEP procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing
• Proven experience managing high-value MEP packages for large-scale construction projects
• Strong exposure to UAE or GCC MEP markets and vendor ecosystems
• Deep expertise in MEP systems, specifications, and procurement best practices
• Strong commercial acumen with proven contract negotiation and cost management skills
• Experience in category strategy development and supplier consolidation
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and value creation
