Job Title: Carpenter
Department: Maintenance / Operations
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / FM Supervisor
Job Purpose:
The Carpenter is skilled in constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made from wood, drywall, and other materials. This role supports everything from framing and furniture to doors and decorative elements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Construct, install, and repair wooden structures such as partitions, doors, window frames, office furniture, cabinets, and shelving.
• Perform rough carpentry work, including framing walls, installing sub-floors, and building formwork for concrete.
• Perform finish carpentry work, including trim, molding, baseboards, and crown molding installation.
• Repair damaged woodwork, including doors, furniture, and flooring.
• Install drywall, patch holes, and prepare surfaces for painting or finishing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and instructions from supervisors.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials.
• Select appropriate materials for each job and ensure minimal waste.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines while using power and hand tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a strong background in both rough and finish carpentry.
• Proficiency in using a wide array of carpentry tools, both power and hand-operated.
• Ability to read technical documents and take precise measurements.
• Strong understanding of wood properties and other carpentry materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
