Business Unit Manager (BUM) Middle East
Basic information about this position:
As Business Unit (BU) Manager the chosen candidate defines and executes the overall strategy for the BU and the region to create successful long- and short term growth and profitability. The candidate shall secure the global Pedestrian segment strategy and local business plans are executed in order to create long-term profitable growth of the Company in the Middle East region, being UAE and Saudi Arabia and over time include additional countries in the region.
He is accountable for developing products, growing profitable equipment sales, executing world class installation and service offers and optimizing our internal efficiency. As a leader of the BU, the chosen candidate is responsible for an approx. team of 20 people who will be looking to him for daily co-operation, development and long-term vision.
Key responsibilities:

• Operationally accountable for BU P&L, balance sheet and KPIs
• Define and implement the strategic and tactical plan for the Business Unit Pedestrian in the Middle East region
• Manage the Business Unit profit and loss in Territory and overall responsible for financial plan and forecast are met
• Drive profitable sales of equipment and services in accordance with key performance indicators ("KPIs") as may from time to time be set by the Company
• Ensure effective management of working capital and cash for the Business Unit
• Business Unit debt collection
• Define and implement the Pedestrian segment strategic and tactical plan for the Business Unit in the Middle East region
• Develop and manage proper sales channels in the region
• Secure the right product supply for the Middle East region in accordance with the Company policies
• Build, lead, manage and develop the organization in the Business Unit in the region
• Secure smart coordination between other ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems business areas and Assa ABLOY divisions within the Middle East region

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates with experience from working in a global corporate setting and international matrix reporting environment with a proven B2B sales background, preferably from a service intensive industry, with a strong business acumen. We expect ability to motivate and inspire others, to empower people and teams to get the right things done. The right candidate is self-starter with an innovative edge who always wants to outperform himself. We expect a sound sense of integrity along with strong leadership skills and the ability to combine excellent analytical skills with a hands-on approach to the business. Formally, a relevant university degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration (or similar) will be expected. English is fluent, written and oral. Extensive working knowledge the MS office package is needed.
