JOB DETAILS Position Title : Barbershop Manager / Receptionist Reports To : Partner Salary : Salary / Profit Nationality : Any nationality Job Type : Full Time Location : MAG 218 Tower, Shop 1 - Goodfellas Vintage Barbershop - Dubai Marina 2. JOB PURPOSE To provide professional services in managing overall shop operations, including day-to-day tasks, candidates should also possess the capabilities to perform receptionist responsibilities. The selected candidate must demonstrate proficiency in both shop management and receptionist skills. The role requires a well-rounded skill set, encompassing effective operational management and hands-on experience in the field of receptionist within the UAE. 3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Managerial Responsibilities:
  • Barbershop experience is a requirement for this position. Candidates should have a proven track record in the industry
  • Manage all shop operations and provide guidance to the front desk
  • Ensure that all barbers maintain positive client relationship
  • Maintain recruitment, training, and supervision of a team of barbers
  • Ensure that all barbers maintain positive client relationships and foster a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the barbershop
  • Develop and implement efficient scheduling practices to maximize productivity
  • Oversee the inventory of grooming products, monitor stock levels, coordinate restocking as needed, and promptly report to the concerned team to ensure the smooth flow of e-commerce operations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, remembering their preferences and fostering a loyal customer base
  • Address and resolve client concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist in product sales and promotions to enhance revenue
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall client experience
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and organization of the barbershop
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement marketing initiatives and promotions
  • Ensure to obtain Google reviews from new customers by Kindly prompting them to share their feedback on their experience
Receptionist Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt responses to client inquiries through social media
  • Ensure that stock details are communicated to all front office staff handling client inquiries on a shift basis
  • Warmly greet clients and deliver exceptional customer services to foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere
  • Address client inquiries, provide information on services, and ensure a smooth client experience
  • Efficiently manage the appointment booking system, ensuring optimal scheduling for barbers and minimal client wait times
  • Coordinate with barbers to streamline appointments and manage walk-in clients effectively
  • Handle cash transactions, manage the cash register, and reconcile daily financial transactions
  • Generate and maintain records of sales, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
  • Effectively upsell and cross-sell barbershop products and services to both walk-in and existing customers, ensuring increased purchases of additional services or products
  • Handle general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and barbershop facilities
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in customer service and grooming services
4. JOB CONTEXT Work in close partnership with the members of the shop and maintain regular coordination with the HR Manager and the Partners. Foster effective communication channels within the team and ensure seamless collaboration. Uphold strong connections with both HR Manager and Business Partners for optimal workflow. Take any concerns, misconduct, or customer complaints seriously, handle them professionally, and promptly notify the management to ensure discipline, maintain the reputation, and uphold the standards of the shop. 5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the grooming industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in business management, customer service, or receptionist training are advantageous
  • Proven experience in a receptionist or customer service role within the beauty or service industry
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a receptionist, with a preference for those who have worked in a barbershop or salon environment
  • Demonstrated experience in managerial or supervisory responsibilities, showcasing leadership skills
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of barbershop management practices
