Category Manager - Telecom Sourcing (Dubai)
Job Objective
To lead sourcing initiatives across maintenance, managed services, and technical support for a major telecom group. To ensure alignment with Company's strategic sourcing framework and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven sourcing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sourcing for telecom network operations (active/passive maintenance, L3 support).
- Lead RFx processes and develop Statements of Work (SoW).
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate for optimal service levels and cost efficiency.
- Align sourcing strategies with operational goals and service delivery.
- Support contract formulation and supplier performance monitoring.
- Provide market intelligence and contribute to agile sourcing improvements.
- Bachelor's in Telecom Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (postgraduate preferred).
- 5+ years experience in telecom operations and procurement within major telecom groups Experience with SAP, ARIBA, or Oracle ERP tools.
- Strong knowledge of telecom vendor ecosystems and pricing models.
- Must have technical competencies in:
- Active/Passive Network Maintenance Sourcing
- Managed Services Procurement
- RFx Management and Tendering
- Telecom Network Operations Knowledge
- Certifications preferred: CSCP, PSM.
