Job Description

Job Purpose Working closely with Senior Executive officer and lead of Growth and New Initiatives, the successful candidate will be a highly strategic, analytical, organized, motivated and adaptable leader. They will support our leadership team to build a highly agile organization, identify new business/growth opportunities, design operational models and cross-team processes that enable the organization to achieve its mission and execute against key priorities.

In DPWFS, we are on a journey to disrupt the global trade finance industry and make working capital available for all businesses. The need for this change is pressing, and the challenge is huge. We are innovating, experimenting and moving quickly to enable this transformation and as a result, our team is in a state of constant change. The role is critical to our success, as we need to actively manage the change, support our team in delivering on goals, provide our teams with required data/analytics, identify new business opportunities for growth and constantly optimize our operations to adapt.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be a pivotal player with broad impact. Tasked with using your creativity, strategic thinking, and initiative, you will tackle issues and resolve challenges, ensuring the team is well positioned to execute. You will also focus on relentlessly raising the performance level of the leadership team and the organization as a whole.
Key Accountabilities Strategic Planning
  • Plan and coordinate DPWFS strategy and planning cycles, connecting and leveraging different points of view to help leadership and product teams plan with the best possible business context. This includes development of timelines and process for the organization, supporting teams to completion of associated deliverables, and working collaboratively with the team to prepare presentations
  • Plan and facilitate executive meetings/workshops with broader organization (Industry strategy, sales, marketing, product, credit, risk, operations, customer success). This can include formulating the topics to cover, building and advising agendas, guiding and facilitating the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up as appropriate
  • Designing and guiding outcome oriented strategic and tactical team meetings. This could include team building sessions, organizational reviews, strategy discussions, and other topics for team meetings. Ability to frame problems and find structures/models that help people better understand the problem and trade-offs required
Tracking & Follow Up
  • Track and communicate organization OKRs and goals. This includes DPWFS objectives, as well as internal DPWFS priorities, goals and metrics. Support the organization in discovering gaps in objectives and priorities across teams and products
New Initiatives & Product Development
  • Develop new financial product ideas and present these ideas with supporting data, market study and analysis to the product committee. Use existing knowledge of trade finance and SME lending products to innovate
  • Exploring alternate data sources that can be used to evaluate credit risk
  • Explore new market opportunities and trade corridors that will help the organization achieve its ambitious goal of being a global trade finance platform
  • Tracking regulatory and policy change in operational markets to identify new opportunities as a result of changing regulatory landscape
Project Management & Go-To-Market
  • Lead special projects and programs. This includes key strategic initiatives and go-to-market plans that impact the overall success of the company as well as team culture initiatives to help support a healthy organization. Some projects will span beyond the scope of the group, requiring cross-company collaboration
  • Execute new product ideas from ideation stage, to development, to execution, tracking performance and iterating to find a better fit for the market
  • Execute and report on the go-to-market strategy to enter new market and trade lanes
  • Help other internal teams to manage and execute internal and external projects and programs
Trusted Counsel
  • Act as a \xe2\x80\x98trusted counsel\xe2\x80\x99 to the executive and senior leaders. Provide insight and analysis on the organization\xe2\x80\x99s operations, key decisions and other business areas as well as represent the executive in certain meetings he/she is unable to attend. Partner closely with other functions relevant to the team, including Finance, HR, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Credit, Risk, Compliance,
Communication
  • Manage communications. These can be internal team communications as well as communications out to the wider DP World
  • Support development of presentation content. This can include presentations for executive meetings, internal meetings, customer meetings and other high value events
  • Champion a spirit of collaboration and open communications. Work across teams to advance organizational goals and engender trust, including work with other business units across the company, sharing and developing best practices
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World\xe2\x80\x99s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World\xe2\x80\x99s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies

  • Education : Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher. MBA may be an advantage, but not required
  • Trade Finance Knowledge : Knowledge of finance products is an advantage, but not required.
  • Past Experience: 6+ years of experience working in a Management Consulting, Strategy, Growth teams or CXO\xe2\x80\x99s office in Product Organization or FinTech\xe2\x80\x99s/Financial Services/Logistics/Start-ups
