About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager of Learning and Development to join our team in the pre-opening phase of a luxury hotel. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Learning and Development Manager in creating and implementing training programs and initiatives to ensure the success of our hotel\'s pre-opening and post-opening phases. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop the learning and development strategy, train and develop a team of trainers, and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive training plan for the pre-opening phase of the hotel.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skills gaps and develop appropriate training programs.
  • Design and deliver training programs for all departments, ensuring they are aligned with the hotel\'s standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Train and develop a team of trainers to deliver effective training programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with department heads and managers to identify training needs and provide ongoing support to enhance employee performance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and trainers to provide specialized training programs as needed.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in learning and development to enhance the effectiveness of training programs.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or a related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in pre-opening hotels or luxury properties.
  • Strong understanding of learning and development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs, including classroom training, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
  • Ability to assess training needs and develop effective training solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and learning management systems.
  • Flexible schedule, as occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
