Job Description
:
The Interior Design Department is seeking a highly motivated
Assistant Instructor
to support faculty members in teaching and contribute to the department's academic and service activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background inInterior Design or Architecture
and be proficient in relevant industry-standard software.Key Responsibilities:
Assist faculty members in
teaching studio and lecture courses
by providing support to students in design and technical aspects. Providetutorials and software support
to students for project development. Contribute tocurriculum development
and assist in the preparation of instructional materials. Participate indepartmental and university service activities
, including student advising, workshops, and events. Support faculty inresearch and creative projects
, as needed. Maintain and overseelab and studio spaces
, ensuring students have access to the necessary tools and resources.Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor degree
inInterior Design or Architecture
from an accredited institution. Demonstratedexperience in Interior Design or Architecture
, either in academia or industry.Proficiency in essential design software
: +Required:
3ds Max, Photoshop, AutoCAD+
Preferred:
Rhino and/or RevitStrong
communication and collaboration skills
to work effectively with faculty and students. Ability tosupport student learning
in both technical and conceptual aspects of interior design.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
preferred Priorteaching or academic support experience
in a university setting. Knowledge of emerging trends andsustainable design practices
in interior design. Familiarity withdigital fabrication and visualization techniques
