The Interior Design Department is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Instructor to support faculty members in teaching and contribute to the department's academic and service activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Interior Design or Architecture and be proficient in relevant industry-standard software.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist faculty members in teaching studio and lecture courses by providing support to students in design and technical aspects.
• Provide tutorials and software support to students for project development.
• Contribute to curriculum development and assist in the preparation of instructional materials.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities, including student advising, workshops, and events.
• Support faculty in research and creative projects, as needed.
• Maintain and oversee lab and studio spaces, ensuring students have access to the necessary tools and resources.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated experience in Interior Design or Architecture, either in academia or industry.
• Proficiency in essential design software:

• Required: 3ds Max, Photoshop, AutoCAD
• Preferred: Rhino and/or Revit
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with faculty and students.
• Ability to support student learning in both technical and conceptual aspects of interior design.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree preferred
• Prior teaching or academic support experience in a university setting.
• Knowledge of emerging trends and sustainable design practices in interior design.
• Familiarity with digital fabrication and visualization techniques.
