Job Description

You will serve as the liaison between customers and the automotive service department. Your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service by understanding and addressing their vehicle-related concerns. You will also play a vital role in coordinating and scheduling service appointments, providing cost estimates, and ensuring a positive overall service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction:



Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Listen to customers' concerns and inquiries regarding their vehicles.

Clearly communicate service options and provide detailed explanations to customers.

Appointment Scheduling:



Schedule service appointments efficiently, taking into account the availability of the service department and the urgency of the customer's needs.

Confirm appointments and provide relevant information to customers.

Cost Estimation:



Assess vehicle issues and provide accurate cost estimates for parts and labor.

Obtain necessary approvals from customers before initiating service repairs.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:



Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service appointments, and vehicle service history.

Complete service orders and ensure all relevant information is accurately documented.

Customer Education:



Educate customers on preventive maintenance and explain the importance of recommended services.

Provide information on warranty coverage and applicable service plans.

Coordination with Service Technicians:



Collaborate with service technicians to convey customer concerns and ensure timely completion of service tasks.

Communicate any additional findings or issues discovered during the service process to customers.

Customer Satisfaction:



Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns.

Handle customer complaints or issues diplomatically and seek resolutions.

Qualifications and Skills:



Previous experience in automotive customer service or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of basic automotive systems and terminology. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Computer proficiency for using service management software.

Education:



A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional training or certification in automotive service or customer relations is a plus.
