Job Description

Our client, a prominent trading company specializing in valves, pumps, and various mechanical products is looking to hire an Application Engineer for their Valves Division. We are dedicated to providing high-quality solutions and exceptional service to our clients.

Job Overview:

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager and collaborating with senior management, the Application Engineer will play a vital role in sales coordination, managing processes from receipt of inquiries to the submission of commercial offers and technical submittals. This position is essential for ensuring operational efficiency and delivering excellent service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Quotations:

Prepare detailed and accurate quotations based on specifications provided by sales engineers.

Generate comprehensive analytical reports related to prepared quotations for management review.

Organize and maintain a systematic filing system for all quotations and associated documentation.

Update and manage the quotations database, ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained.

Provide insightful assistance to sales engineers regarding item specifications and pricing.

Serve as the primary contact for customers in the absence of sales engineers, addressing inquiries as needed.

Manage incoming inquiries via telephone, providing necessary information to prospective clients.

Technical Submittals:

Develop and prepare technical submittals, including but not limited to technical data sheets, material schedules, compliance statements, and product data sheets tailored to project specifications.

Conduct selection of valves, and control valves based on client-provided flow rates and detailed project requirements.

Prepare sample boards in accordance with the specifications outlined in the technical submittals.

Collaborate with management to address any consultant comments and ensure compliance with project standards.

Maintain an up-to-date database reflecting the status of all technical submittals.

Prepare periodic reports for management that summarize technical submittal activities.

Other Duties:

Relay inquiries related to products or services outside of the company's scope to management for further action.

Conduct analysis and comparisons of competitors' pricing and products, providing insightful reports to inform strategic decisions.

Organize sales meetings, including preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and related documentation.

Compile and present reports for review during sales meetings.

Coordinate with Sales Engineers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to provide project updates and visit reports, ensuring effective communication with management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant experience (5 years) in application engineering or sales coordination, preferably in the mechanical products sector.

Strong understanding of valve and technical specifications related to client projects.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Proficient in managing databases and technical documentation.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
