Job Title: Accountant

The Accountant will play a crucial role within the Finance Department, responsible for a wide range of accounting functions that ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position involves managing vendor payments, handling government portal transactions, monitoring various financial schedules, and supporting compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and be capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Vendor Management & Payments:

  • Manage the registration of new vendors in accordance with company requirements and established processes.
  • Review, validate, and manage the weekly payment list to ensure accuracy and timely disbursements.
  • Book corresponding accounting entries for all payments processed.
  • Monitor and process payments for utility bills.
  • Handle payment monitoring sheets in connection with specific clients.
  • Monitor requirements and processes on suppliers' portals.
Reconciliations & Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and vendor statements.
  • Handle the replenishment, reconciliation, and recording of corresponding entries for Government portals.
  • Handle the prepayments schedule reporting and monitoring.
  • Monitor the lease agreements payments and record related accounting transactions.
General Accounting & Compliance:
  • Record various accounting journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the register of cheques.
  • Support in the review and documentation of SOX requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
Collaboration & Support:
  • Provide coordination and support to other teams within the organization as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as an effective part of a team.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
