. The role is responsible for ensuring all piping and welding activities comply with project specifications, international codes, and QELNG quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect piping fabrication, erection, and welding works at site.
Verify
WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications
.
Monitor fit-up, alignment, root welding, and welding sequences.
Witness
NDT (RT, PT, MT, UT) and hydrotesting
of piping systems.
Review ITPs, material traceability, and welding consumable control.
Ensure compliance with
ASME, API, ASTM, and project standards
.
Support
punch list clearance, reinstatement, and mechanical completion
.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma/Bachelor's in
Mechanical Engineering
.
CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI certification
(mandatory).
8-12 years' EPC experience in piping/welding inspections (LNG preferred).
Knowledge of
ASME Section IX, B31.3, API standards
.
Strong background in NDT coordination and QA/QC systems.
Only candidates currently based in Qatar with valid NOC and transferable visa will be considered.
