The Vice President of Project Management is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and guest satisfaction. They also play a key role in managing capital projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans for hospitality operations
Manage the hospitality budget and forecast revenue and expenses
Oversee the hiring, training, and development of hospitality staff
Ensure that all hospitality operations meet or exceed guest expectations
Manage capital projects from concept to completion
Negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
Represent the company at industry events and conferences
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality management, or a related field with a preference to a Master degree
20+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong track record of success in project management
Proven ability to manage and lead teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with hospitality software and systems
Additional Skills:
Experience in managing multi-million-dollar projects
Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile and PRINCE2
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Experience with budgeting and forecasting software
Legal knowledge of the GCC
Excellent Financial acumen
Desired Skills:
Experience in the luxury hospitality segment
Experience with hotel renovations and expansions
Knowledge of sustainability and green building practices
