What You Will Be Doing

Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO

Translate strategy into revenue-generating business lines that support the core vehicle loans product and augment customer lifetime value

Responsibility for stakeholder engagement concerning emerging business development, negotiations and commercial contracts in line with proposed budgeted growth.

Develop and negotiate effective product and pricing strategies that ensure the financial viability of all products and services.

Develop and manage departmental budgets and produce monthly progress reports for Senior Management

Oversee Growth and Business Development, Marketing, and Emerging Product teams to support the Company's objectives

Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organisational vision, operational strategy, hiring needs and employee engagement

Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes on time

Analyse internal operations and identify areas of performance process enhancement

Monitor performance management in collaboration with the People team, establishing corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting

Ensure Business Performance KPIs are met, including overall divisional KPIs and the KPIs of direct reports are monitored and met.

Ensure management of OKRs monitored, met and reported on effectively

Ensuring that key strategies with regards to operational effectiveness and technology remain closely aligned
What You Will Need For This Position

Relevant Bachelors degree and MBA in world class institution(s) preferred

5-10 years experience in an operational role, managing multiple departments and teams across several markets/regions

5-10 years Africa or emerging and frontier markets experience

A strong grasp of data analysis and performance metrics to develop new products and business lines

Experience in a fintech, tech and/ or mobility environment preferred. Particularly in environments that combine technology/physical products

Experience leading a global team across multi disciplines

Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships across diverse functional and cross-border teams

Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast changing and at times ambiguous environment

High-energy, positive attitude, and comfort rolling up sleeves: Must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
Personal and/or Leadership Attributes:

Demonstrates leadership experience motivating several teams concurrently; leads by example with creativity, strategic thinking and innovation and passion for customer-oriented product design and P&L management.

A great communicator . Must be articulate, open, and direct.

Possesses strong presence with positive interactions across all levels of management, staff and with external customers and stakeholders.

Proven ability to create and manage an accountability-based-culture: lead, motivate and develop a highly technical and talented world class organisation.

Comfortable in a low-ego, entrepreneurial and results-oriented environment.

Ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps.
