The EMEA Commercial team is now seeking a dynamic individual, to join the team as a Vice President Business Development \xe2\x80\x93 to lead the expansion of our business within the MENA region. Rystad Energy is looking for candidates with exceptional sales experience within the Energy space. The candidate should also possess strong commercial and negotiation skills, knowledge of the MENA energy market, ability to listen and understand customer needs and excellent networking skills are sought. Proven people management and leadership skills to both guide and develop a high performing and growing MENA commercial team is a must. As our new Vice President Business Development, you will get the opportunity to develop and execute product-driven and segment-focused client acquisition strategy as well as identify and generate new business opportunities to fuel the growth of our business. You will work closely with other internal cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, research, client training, consulting, and services to drive engagement with prospects and close clients. You will also work in concert with the other members of the MENA senior management team. Responsibilities include selling Rystad Energy\xe2\x80\x99s research offerings to companies/organizations within i) Energy companies ii) Governments iii) Industrial companies. You and the commercial team are responsible for all stages for the sales process, from identifying and cultivating prospective clients (\xe2\x80\x9cprospects\xe2\x80\x9d), successfully pitching tailored solutions to bring in new clients, and managing existing client accounts to ensure renewal of services as well as growth through upselling/cross-selling of new offerings. You will be responsible for managing, developing and inspiring a high performing and growing MENA commercial team, Experience and Qualifications
  • For this position, we are looking for a candidate with minimum a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree with a minimum five years of B2B Sales/Business Development experience within the Energy industry and/or within the Financial Services.
  • Specifically, experience selling business or market intelligence services within the Energy industry, especially a proven track record with NOCs, and/or the Financial Services or Energy Trading segments
  • Solid network of relationships across the MENA region within the Energy industry and/or within the Financial Services or Energy Trading segments that can be leveraged for new business generation
  • Ability to engage with individuals across all levels within target organizations, including Senior Management/C-Suite
  • Experience in internal stakeholder management \xe2\x80\x93 i.e. collaboration with cross-functional teams internally to drive prospect/client engagement externally
  • CRM Experience Team leadership experience and a collaborative track record
