Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled

Upholstery Professional

to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in upholstery techniques, a strong eye for detail, and a commitment to producing flawless, high-quality furniture. You will be working on brand-new, custom pieces--no repairs or refurbishments--ensuring that every design meets both aesthetic and functional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Upholster a variety of custom furniture pieces including sofas, chairs, ottomans, beds, and more according to design specifications. Cut, sew, and assemble fabrics, leather, and other upholstery materials with precision. Ensure clean finishing and pattern matching for a polished, professional look. Collaborate with designers, craftsmen, and other team members to meet production deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, assisting in general workshop cleaning when needed. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment. Assist with other production-related tasks when required.

Requirements

Proven experience in upholstery, preferably in a furniture manufacturing environment. Skilled in fabric cutting, sewing, stapling, and working with various upholstery materials. Knowledge of different fabrics, leather, and vinyl, and how to work with them effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship. Ability to read and follow design drawings and specifications. Good time management skills and the ability to work under deadlines. Physical stamina to lift and handle heavy furniture pieces safely. A team player with a positive, proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

Vocational training or certification in upholstery or a related field. Experience with industrial sewing machines and upholstery tools. Passion for furniture design and continuous skill development.
