Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Professional to join our team at our furniture factory. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in upholstery techniques and a keen eye for detail. They will play a crucial role in ensuring that our furniture pieces are upholstered to the highest standards, meeting both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Responsibilities:

Upholster a variety of furniture pieces including sofas, chairs, ottomans, and other upholstered items according to design specifications and quality standards. Cut, sew, and assemble fabric or leather materials to cover furniture frames. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary adjustments or repairs. Collaborate with designers, craftsmen, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage of materials and tools. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Upholsterer or similar role, preferably in a furniture manufacturing setting. Proficiency in upholstery techniques, including fabric cutting, sewing, and pattern matching. Knowledge of different upholstery materials and their characteristics. Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy furniture pieces. Upholding high standards of safety in the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

Vocational training or certification in upholstery or a related field. Experience working with a variety of upholstery materials, including leather, fabric, and vinyl. Familiarity with industrial sewing machines and other upholstery tools and equipment. A passion for furniture design and craftsmanship.
