Transformation Director Grade: GG15 Location: Riyadh JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships. The Transformation Director is accountable to the Director of Business Excellence for the successful definition, mobilisation and delivery of selected Transformation / Change projects and activities across Air KSA specifically including Tuwaiq / HRET JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES The Transformation Director is accountable for: · Supporting the Director of Business Excellence by leading the definition, mobilisation and delivery of Change projects and Change-related activities within the Business Excellence scope. This includes ensuring suitable governance frameworks (including LCM) are in place and maintaining appropriate reporting mechanisms and dashboards. · Management of key Business Excellence projects and stakeholders, both within Air KSA and with Sector / Group in line with project aims, specifically as follows:

HRET · Leading delivery of the Tuwaiq / HRET project across Air KSA acting as the Air KSA 'customer' to the UK-based HRET project team. (The Tuwaiq project was paused in late 2022 and Air KSA became a customer of HRET.) · Supporting delivery of the overall Business Change element within Project Tuwaiq / HRET across Air KSA working closely with the nominated KSA Change Lead and the overall UK-based HRET Change & Communications Lead. · Ensuring a strong linkage with the UK/RoW HR Evolve team to ensure the overall system modernisation solution delivered for Air KSA meets the needs of the KSA business. This will involve close working with the Air KSA HR and IM&T teams.

Change Programmes · Leading sensitive (often sign-in) business change, organisational change and transformational change programmes, often at the Line of Business level. Multi-Business / Multi-Function Reviews including ESG · Supporting the Director of Business Excellence in multi-function / business activities including (but not limited to) the Quarterly Business Services Review (including acting as the primary day-to-day interface with the PC), Quarterly Change Board and ESG Working Group. · Leading and supporting monthly and quarterly project reviews with multi-functional project teams as required. This will include holding / defining appropriate Steering Board reviews and update sessions as needed. · Supporting the Director of Business Excellence in monthly and quarterly BE team reviews including strategy and objectives development. · Working with nominated functional POCs and the Shadow Board, lead the integration of the overall air KSA ESG plan. Mentoring · Leading and mentoring the Business Excellence Transformation team including building its capability particularly in Change awareness and resilience (working with the KSA Change lead within PM). · Provide mentoring support to individuals within the BE team.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION · The role holder requires substantial knowledge of Strategy and Project Management competencies, the latter especially Programme Management and Business Change Management. · Significant breadth of business, product and process knowledge is required for the role given that the Tuwaiq project will affect all Air KSA employees both in Saudi Arabia and the UK. · Given the nature and impact areas of the projects such as Tuwaiq, the role holder should have particular knowledge and awareness of HR and Finance processes. · Recognised as a Project Management professional both within and outside the business. · Graduate of the LCP3 programme. Business Expertise (Breadth of understanding required in job, knowledge market) · The role holder needs detailed knowledge and understanding of BAE Systems, Air KSA and the Air KSA Operating Model, and key drivers to the wider success of the business. · The role holder will identify reputation issues, identify corrective actions and negotiate funding with internal stakeholders within the business when required. · Good stakeholder management skills and ability to interface with senior leadership is essential as are solid communications skills, particularly in the written domain. An ability to compartmentise between projects when supporting 'sign on' projects is essential. · Requires a broad understanding of the KSA market, customer and commercial environment. Problem Solving · The role holder has to be able to consider multiple angles and stakeholder perspectives when addressing issues, i.e. Customer, Project Management, Financial, Organisational, etc. · The role holder needs to be able to apply complex problem solving techniques using information from a number of sources to create mitigations and ensure programme issues are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner. · The role holder needs to address complex future issues working with multi-functional teams to create solutions. Familiarity with tools such as pre-mortem is also useful. · The role holder has to be able to appreciate and adapt to cultural styles and communicate across different cultures and organisations. · The role holder should be able to manage complex stakeholder and internal supplier relationships within and across businesses. · To be able to manage multiple Customer interfaces and satisfy the stakeholders of the Programme throughout its progress. · Ability to synthesise complex information for both internal and external stakeholders, and communicate in the form of focused dashboards.
