Job Description

:

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Diversion Engineer to plan, design, and manage temporary traffic diversion and traffic management schemes for road construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians while minimizing disruption to the public and maintaining compliance with applicable traffic regulations and safety standards.

The Traffic Diversion Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed traffic diversion plans, signage layouts, and method statements, coordinating with project teams and relevant authorities, and overseeing on-site implementation. The role includes conducting site inspections, monitoring traffic conditions, identifying risks, and implementing corrective measures when required. The engineer will also support approval processes, respond to traffic-related incidents, and prepare reports and as-built documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and review traffic diversion and temporary traffic management plans. Design diversion layouts, signage, and road safety arrangements. Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and site teams. Liaise with traffic police and local authorities for approvals. Conduct site inspections to ensure proper implementation. Monitor traffic flow, safety, and public access during diversions. Identify hazards and implement risk mitigation measures. Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and safety standards. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering. Relevant experience in traffic diversion or traffic management. Strong knowledge of traffic safety standards and regulations. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software. Good communication and coordination skills.
