THE ROLE

Now we\'re looking to recruit a Trade Desk Specialist (Bonds) on a full time, permanent basis to join the existing international team.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Reporting to: Head of Brokerage

Job description

A Fixed Income Trader is a high touch trader responsible for providing trading and system support to investment professionals and to ensure smooth and uninterrupted electronic order execution. The prime focus for this role is to execute Bonds orders.

Key responsibilities:

• Facilitate best execution for our clients at timely and professional manner
• Monitor client and own position, hedge when necessary
• Manage Post Trade requirements relating to Settlements, Collateral Management and resolve routine problems and queries escalating more complex issues to other departments
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to promote quality of service, ensuring the timely escalation and resolution of issues and queries.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes by introducing systemic solutions
• Communicate with counterparties and IT team to resolve any trading discrepancies
• Work closely with counterparty relationship managers to onboard and maintain close working relationships with existing counterparties
• Work closely with internal compliance to ensure the best trading controls in ever changing market
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports for Head of Brokerage, highlight areas that can be proactively improved

Requirements:

Professional skills

• Deep knowledge and understanding of fixed income high touch trading. Experience in other instruments such as derivatives, equities, commodities and FX is a plus.
• 3-5 years\' experience at a trading desk
• Bachelor\'s degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, Physics, Math, Finance, etc.)
• Strong analytical abilities and high-quality awareness
• Excellence in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of VBA and Python is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure and perform in many roles in an ever-changing environment
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is essential as well as multi-tasking
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written in English
• Creative thinker and comfortable taking initiative in pursuing new opportunities
