THE ROLE

Now we\'re looking to recruit a Trade Desk Specialist (Securities Lending)on a full time, permanent basis to join the existing international team.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Reporting to: Head of Brokerage

Job description

A Trade Desk Specialist (Securities Lending)is a high touch trader responsible for providing trading and system support to investment professionals and ensuring smooth and uninterrupted electronic order execution. The prime focus for this role is to take care of the Securities Lending orders and assist the clients in their investment process.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor existing lending portfolio
• Build out new counterparty lending relationships
• Trade the Securities Lending book (Equities, Fixed Income)
• Build out funding and term trade business
• Support liquidity management, collateral and transfer team when needed
• Communicate with counterparties and IT team to resolve any discrepancies
• Work with developers to build quantitative and technological solutions to analyse and improve trading performance
• Work closely with counterparty relationship managers to onboard and maintain close working relationships with existing counterparties
• Work closely with legal and compliance team to ensure the best trading controls in ever changing market
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports for Head of Brokerage
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes, tools, and strategies that drive efficiency, enhance risk management, and support the company\'s growth objectives.

Requirements:

Professional skills

• At least 3 years of experience is required in Securities Lending
• Bachelor\'s degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, Physics, Math, Finance, etc.)
• Strong analytical abilities and high-quality awareness
• Excellence in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of VBA and Python is a plus
• Deep knowledge and understanding of the Securities Lending landscape. Experience in other financial Instruments: derivatives, equities, equity related securities and FX is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure and perform in many roles in an ever-changing environment
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is essential as well as multi-tasking
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written in English
• Creative thinker and comfortable taking initiative in pursuing new opportunities
