Your Role

  • Identification and mapping of the entire Middle East Markets in terms of target industries and then regularly reporting of and on new business opportunities in target markets for Leybold brand of vaccum pumps/systems/Solutions.
  • Forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the region for all products; projecting expected sales volumes including for new products introduced in the market for various applications where vacuum plays an important role.
  • Responsible for annual sales growth for the region.
  • Management and development of key customer strategy, relationships and participation in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Focus on new customer addition.
  • Focus on new opportunities for our vacuum pumps at existing customers in other applications purely on value selling proposition and ROI analysis.
  • Management and development of Sales Channels including Agent and Distributors
  • Monitoring and assessment of customer, market and competitor activities and providing of feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
  • Work in close cooperation with the BLM Leybold South Asia and collaborate with support function on all aspects related to business requirment.
  • Management and development of key customer strategy, relationships and participation in closing strategic opportunities.


To succeed, you will need
  • More than 10 years of total experience in direct sales out of which minimum 5 years preferably in vacuum pumps & solutions sales to industrial & R&D Customers with proven record of developing new business with application based selling skills.
  • The candidate must preferably have more than 5 years experience as having worked as a independent Sales Manager or as a Business Development Manager
  • Degree in Engineering. An MBA degree in Marketing is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong customer and target orientation
  • Preferably good knowledge of vacuum industry market on a regional level.
  • Outstanding negotiation and sales skills
  • Relationship Management
  • Conceptual ability to analyze markets and opportunities, set priorities and tangible actions.
  • Strong Integrity able to feel ownership for the organization and business performance.
