As the Tendering Manager (Finance), you will lead the bid commercial aspect of complex bids, ensure risk tracking and management throughout the bid, have external interfaces with customers, partners and as well as internal interface with sales organizations, tax, controlling, and contract & claim management, all within an increasingly international and cross-functional environment.

Strong counterpart to the Sales Manager, especially in developing compliant business models and customer solutions to assist them to establish the Strategy To Win and support in the pre-tendering, qualification process and tendering phase
Coordinate and interact with all internal stakeholders (e.g. technical bid manager, tax, insurance, contract management, legal, procurement, sales, controlling...)
Finding solutions and balancing risks and opportunities within the sales phase both by understanding customers, markets and contracts as well through data modelling from statistical analysis and data management
Understand commercial, contractual specifications from client
Manage the commercial queries and follow up queries from the client
Translate Customer needs, solutions, requirements, risks and opportunities and further requirements into a balanced Sales Calculation and related offer/tender documents and processes by pairing statistical analysis and data management with sound business understanding.
Analysis and handling of tax requirements that arise in complex project tax constellations, constantly monitoring changes in law or tax implications.
Estimate and plan resourcing levels for the tendering team and follow up meticulously tbe tendering budget during the tender phase to ensure that it is optimized.
Compile commercial costings and risk analysis (together with the bid team)
Responsible for quality-compliant commercial bid preparation in terms of contents and timescale in-line with relevant processes
Check progress and workflow in order to ensure quality and timely completion of day-to-day operations as well as finalisation of timely tender/ project deadlines.
Knowledge and applications of process, regulations and tools related to the Limits of Authority process to minimize the risk exposure of the company, and identification and presentation of major risks linked to the offer/tender/contract to related stakeholder escalation level
Basic understanding of project financing knowledge and tool, eg. export credit and load, banking.. as well as payment risk management knowledge on cash flow calculation, monitoring and payment instalment management in order to ensure payment inflows from obligations.
Negotiate the terms, conditions, costs and other specifications of a contract with customer while making sure they comply with legal requirements,
Oversee the execution of the contract, agree on and document any changes
Ensure a comprehensive handover of all proposal material to the project team
Work on the continuous improvement of the tendering activities and monitor the efficiency of the team and tools used
Status reporting for all the bids through a regular reporting
What You Bring
at least 10 years\' experience in tendering management roles with high value within major companies in either in the energy industry (transmission business) or similar environment.
Bachelor or Master in business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and strong digital skills
Business \xef\xac\x82uent command of English with additional languages a de\xef\xac\x81nite plus
Strong communication skills as well as International experience and intercultural skills
Ability to work with teams and stakeholders around the globe
Leadership, organising and motivational skills, be able to inspire outstanding work from multi disciplined and multi-cultural team members
Skills in Customer Negotiation, Stakeholder & Customer Relationship Management Analytical Approach, Problem Solving, Conflict Management, Market awareness.
