SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER: AUTOMOTIVE: MIDDLE EAST
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for creating, negotiating, and implementing all product lifecycle and pricing topics for the product range, following the mid-and long-term planning requirements for the Middle East. Planning must align with internal stakeholders (Sales, Operation, Marketing & Controlling).
The Senior Product Manager steers the Production Team along with the Regional Sales Managers and Dealers in analysing the market and competitor activity to position the most suitable product structure in the market and competitive position against the core competition set in terms of specification and pricing. Through close cooperation with all stakeholders, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for promptly implementing the agreed lifecycle management strategy points and assisting in market launch and sales activities.
The Senior Product Manager is the interface between the Middle East and the group to ensure that the Product Development Team meets the market requirements, which is reflected in the product premises for the LAP planning process. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the final pricing and positioning of vehicles, which immediately impacts the company\'s profit and loss.
Key Responsibilities
Model responsibility
Pricing of new models and lifecycle measures for the Regions
Setting the country models in line with competitive requirements
Setting packages for the models and negotiating the options and support of the Group Head Office
Coordination with Regional Sales Managers / Dealers to define model year changes and implementation along with other ad-hoc requests like edition coordination in the market
Coordination with group head office for finalising price build-up and calculations for every new model year (all segments)
Support for Sales Department for all product and price topics
Lifecycle management over the LAP cycle, including market introduction management, the definition of special editions, launch packages, and run-out models in coordination with the Sales Operations Team
Overall responsibility for maintaining the Car Configurator and managing all updates continuously
Preparation and presentation of professional product presentation within and to Dealers and customers
Strategic Responsibilities
Product Management team steering
Preparation and coordination with group Head Office, local authorities
Implementation of Autonomous/Piloted Driving/Electrification strategies together with EV and Connected Cars Manager
Main Disciplines
Mid/Long Term Planning - Steering within the Middle East for product and price topics together with Sales Operations referring to the annual mix planning and mid/long term volume planning (LAP Process)
Regional Price Monitoring - regular updates of the Index File with competitors and communication to the group head office as required
Product Meetings - Coordination of Dealer and Importer input for advanced product circle and market product/option (long-term and medium-term product and option development for the region and specific markets)
Launch Management - Project management and launch management of new vehicles
Overseeing Agencies
Managing mystery shopping agencies (contracting, briefing, consulting, evaluating, controlling, pitching) in agreement with the Procurement team
Main Interfaces
Interface with Group Head Office on all Product Management topics
Lead the mid/long term volume planning (>2 years)
Budget
Controlling and compliance with budgets for Product Management measures (Packages, Price Online/JATO, and Mystery Shopping Program)
Skills and Experience
Five years minimum in an automotive Product Management related role - manufacturer, brands, and products
Understanding of long-term planning requirements and project management skills
Management of product teams
Practical & Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding and knowledge of Excel and a variety of programs and software
Strong fluency in English (written and spoken). Arabic will be advantageous
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Translate business goals, and end-user needs into product strategies
Manage the life cycle of product portfolio and marketing program spend within the budget
Support the product roadmap to meet business objectives and goals
Develop business case and rationale for new product investments
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management, or related fields
Strong understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry
Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams
Knowledge and understanding of standard precision practices, technology, and supporting industry principles
