Job Description

As a Microsoft Teams Technology Specialist\xe2\x80\x99s (Teams TS) your main goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. You will work in a team, enabling the customers through digital transformation by leveraging the Modern Workplace of Microsoft 365 and Surface. Teams TSs are expected to be able to both own and win the customers technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and work they are on for salespeople to further pursue. As a Teams TS, you work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate, and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft 365 suite, Teams, Frontline Worker, Viva sales targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure technologies. Responsibilities:
  • Solution Design & Proof for Teams: You will demonstrate (e.g., Architectural Design Sessions, and Proof of Concept sessions) Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Teams Premium, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva products, services, and integration; adapting and extending architecture patterns accommodate complex customer requirements for design, development, configuration, and deployment/adoption/governance planning; applying advanced sales methodologies (e.g., MCEM); leveraging partner/customer teams as needed.
  • Build Strategy for Teams: You will proactively develop strategic cross-workload/subsidiary and account level responses to specific market threats by identifying market patterns and delivering feedback to business group on trends and needs in the Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Teams Premium, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions space. You will build competitive knowledge, documents compete patterns, and share within the community to drive change and escalations for competitive selling strategies; act as a subject matter expert and deliver competitive knowledge back to product and engineering teams to enhance Microsoft Teams capabilities and to develop compete strategies.
  • Scale Teams Customer Engagements: You will reach out to customers proactively and engage key customer technical decision makers using knowledge of customer context; expertise in Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, Teams Premium and devices; depth knowledge in Microsoft 365 Copilot, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions; and other technical and industry knowledge. Leading complex technical discussions with customers and establishing rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams, leveraging knowledge of processes (e.g., Managed Service Provider [MSP], Managed Certified Professional [MCP]), tools, and programs (e.g., FastTrack, customer investment funding [ECIFs]), leveraging knowledge of resources (e.g., roles, Microsoft Technology Center, demo sites, virtual sites) and engaging product teams (e.g., engineering) to remediate technical blockers.
  • Education: You will build readiness plans for peers and proactively identify gaps and new opportunities for learning; monitoring & responding to internal tech community posts, attending and acting as a thought leader on community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc. Practicing expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture and demonstrating new and updated Microsoft Teams products and services.
  • Scale Through Partners: You will promote the partner within the Microsoft ecosystem and develop deep partner relationships. Identifying new Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, Teams Premium, devices, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Frontline Worker and Viva partnership opportunities to build subsidiary strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Master\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and
  • 4+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • The ideal candidate will have experience deploying and driving usage and adopotion of Microsoft 365 Copilot
