As a Technician at a 4-star hotel, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all technical systems and equipment throughout the property. We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual with expertise in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, who is committed to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address any issues or potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, work orders, and emergency situations, providing efficient and effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, using the hotel\'s maintenance management system.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and installations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and requisition supplies as needed to support maintenance operations.
- Assist with the installation, setup, and testing of new equipment and systems, collaborating with other departments as required to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire safety equipment, emergency lighting, and other life safety systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new technologies and best practices in facility maintenance.
- Uphold the hotel\'s standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and guest satisfaction, demonstrating a courteous and helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems is preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial property.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of building systems, including electrical wiring, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and fire suppression systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and basic computer skills for documenting work orders and maintaining records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and external contractors.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and protocols, including knowledge of relevant OSHA regulations and guidelines.
