Supervisor - District Cooling Plant
Job Title: Supervisor - District Cooling Plant (DCP)
Report To: Plant Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The District Cooling Plant Supervisor leads a team of technicians and operators, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable 24/7 operation of the plant. This role combines strong technical knowledge with leadership and administrative skills to manage daily activities, personnel, and plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Scheduling: Plan, assign, and direct the work of the operations and maintenance team. Manage shift schedules, overtime, and leave to ensure adequate plant coverage at all times.
• Work Management: Oversee the execution of all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work orders. Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards using the CMMS.
• Technical Guidance: Provide expert technical guidance and support to the team for complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair strategies for chillers, pumps, electrical systems, and controls.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as plant efficiency (kW/TR), availability, and water/chemical consumption. Implement initiatives for continuous improvement.
• HSE & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety. Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections. Ensure full compliance with all HSE regulations and permit-to-work systems. Lead incident investigations.
• Inventory & Procurement: Manage the plant's critical spare parts inventory. Raise purchase requisitions for materials and services as needed.
• Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and management reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in plant operations/maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role within a district cooling or similar utility environment.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a technical team. Strong organizational and conflict-resolution skills.
• Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of operational budgets and cost control measures.
