to manage materials, tools, spare parts, and inventory efficiently. The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of all stock items to support smooth site and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify materials against delivery notes and purchase orders
Ensure proper
storage, labeling, and stacking
of materials and tools
Issue materials as per approved Material Requisition Notes (MRN)
Maintain accurate
inventory records
(manual or system-based)
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
Report shortages, damages, or excess stock to management
Ensure proper handling of heavy equipment, spare parts, and consumables
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store/warehouse
Coordinate with procurement, site engineers, and supervisors
Prepare stock reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum
2-4 years experience
as a Storekeeper (construction/industrial experience preferred)
Basic knowledge of inventory control systems and MS Excel
Ability to read delivery notes, material codes, and specifications
Physically fit to handle materials when required
Good organizational and record-keeping skills
