The Store Incharge / Warehouse Incharge is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in the warehouse. The role involves managing inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment, and coordinating with various departments to meet operational needs. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or store management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Key Responsibilities: * Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring stock accuracy through regular stock checks and cycle counts.
Monitor stock movements, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock discrepancies, damages, or losses.
Warehouse Operations:
Oversee daily warehouse activities, including loading, unloading, and proper storage of goods.
Ensure timely and accurate order picking, packing, and dispatch to meet delivery schedules.
Maintain proper labeling, categorization, and organization of goods in the warehouse.
Team Management:
Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure high productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to team members.
Coordinate shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing to meet operational demands.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the warehouse.
Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous or sensitive materials, if applicable.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of all warehouse transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and operational performance.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or other software to track and manage inventory.
Coordination and Communication:
Liaise with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods.
Address and resolve any issues related to stock shortages, delays, or discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, transporters, and internal stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
Implement best practices for inventory management and warehouse operations.
Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to optimize warehouse performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Store Incharge, Warehouse Incharge, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and stock control processes.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse management.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Familiarity with handling specific types of goods (e.g., perishables, electronics, or hazardous materials).
Forklift operation certification (if applicable).
