Static Equipment Draughtsman
Job Description
Industry: Engineering o Fabrication o Oil & Gas
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D engineering drawings for static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc.)
Develop fabrication, GA, layout, and detail drawings as per project standards
Interpret data sheets, P&IDs, and technical specifications
Coordinate with design and mechanical engineers to ensure drawing accuracy
Revise drawings based on design updates and feedback
Maintain proper documentation and version control
Ensure compliance with codes (ASME, API, IS)
Coordinate with procurement and fabrication teams for clarifications
Support BOM preparation when required
Liaise with the drafting team at our Surat, India office
Knowledge of structural drafting is an added advantage
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
8-10 years of experience in mechanical drafting for static equipment
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D; 3D is an advantage)
Solid understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs
Excellent accuracy, time management, and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with PV Elite, SolidWorks, or Inventor
Familiarity with document control systems
EPC or oil & gas project experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to AED6,000.00 per month
