Standards and Evaluation Manager Grade: GG12 Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships. Responsible for Development within the Technical Studies Institute (TSI) and for maintaining the standards set out by external accreditation bodies. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES The post holder is responsible for: Carrying out prime contractor responsibilities for the governance of training at TSI as per the LOA3 contract. Establishing a relationship with the RSAF customer and satisfy the customer's needs. Establishing a relationship with MODSAP and satisfy the needs of MODSAP. Ensuring procedures for Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and training governance apply within TSI. Ensuring procedures for configuration control of courseware apply within TSI. Ensuring procedures for teacher / instructor evaluation apply within TSI. Ensuring procedures for an audit programme of teaching departments applies within TSI. Ensuring effective communications with RSAF TSIWC, RSAF staff, Training Delivery Director, Head of Engineering Technical Training, Head of Training (HoT), Technical Training Manager, Foundation Training Manager, the other managers in TSI and other relevant stakeholders. Arranging approvals for courseware changes with the RSAF, MODSAP and other relevant stakeholders (including international and national awarding bodies and auditing authorities). Supervising and managing STANEVAL staff, including recruitment. Managing SHE, Product Safety and Duty of Care responsibilities within the STANEVAL department in compliance with PC policy and processes. Managing other Prime contractor mandated activities (for example, Gifts and Hospitality, Ethical Behaviour and Code of Conduct) within the STANEVAL department in compliance with PC policy and processes. Improving service performance and responsiveness, resolve customer issues, and/ or identify opportunities with the STANEVAL department. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION The post holder must: Be educated to degree level or professional equivalent. The preferred candidate will have experience of working within a Standards and Evaluation type role and preferably have fast jet flight line experience. Hold a Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory Education) or equivalent and have extensive teaching experience in a technical training institution. Have knowledge and experience in course design and development, Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Systems Approach to Training ((SAT) preferably DSAT), testing, standardisation and evaluation of training. Have knowledge of and experience in instructor evaluations as well as auditing Proven direction, motivation, mentorship, coaching and leadership abilities directly applicable to leading a team to deliver best practice services. Desirable: Must have extensive knowledge and demonstrable evidence of working with external Awarding Bodies, e.g City and Guilds. Hold the Level 4 TAQA Qualification or equivalent (V1). Knowledge and understanding of BAE Systems Training Governance policies and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of Training and Engineering Lifecycle Management processes. Experience and knowledge of RSAF training practices and procedures preferably gained through at least three years involvement with the Company's programmes in KSA. A seasoned professional with proven experience and interpersonal skills to co-ordinate a large number of diverse activities and the ability to communicate, motivate, influence and direct a multinational workforce.
