Standards and Evaluation Team Leader Grade: 5 Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships. Responsible for Development within the Technical Studies Institute (TSI) and for maintaining the standards set out by external accreditation bodies. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES The post holder is responsible for: Applying the BAE Systems approach to training and training governance with suppliers and within the StanEval team. Also responsible for applying the relevant training lifecycle management processes detailed in BAE Systems document HB07/06. This includes ensuring the configuration control of training syllabi and associated courseware; and managing an instructor evaluation system in both AW and SEL. Responsible for the supervision of staff within the StanEval team. Under the direction of the Standards and Evaluation Manager, the Job Holder is to identify Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) risks and opportunities relevant to employees for whom he is responsible, to discharge the Company's obligations under SHE policy and to implement appropriate solutions to SHE-related challenges. Assisting the Standards and Evaluation Manager in meeting the requirements of corporate policies encompassing Gifts and Hospitality, Ethical Behaviour and Code of Conduct. Ensuring that all subcontractors carry out responsibilities for the design, development, testing, standardisation and evaluation of training courseware development for TTS. Establishing and managing a compliance system, which measures performance against standards and ensures feedback. Ensuring that all standards outlined in the Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition, TTS Operation Manuals and supporting documents are updated and complied with. Ensuring procedures for Systems Approach to Training and Training Governance apply within TSI. Actively manage the Management of Training Systems (MTS) site within the TSI Workspace, ensuring all Policies, Procedures, Processes and Manuals are maintained, reviewed and authorised. Ensure procedures for configuration control of curriculum and courseware apply within TSI.

Arrange approvals for curriculum or courseware changes with City & Guilds, MoDSAP, RSAF and other relevant Stakeholders Implement and utilise the TMIS / LMS system and meet reporting requirements. Manage SHE and Duty of Care responsibilities within the STANEVAL team in compliance with the SHE Policy and processes. Provide the Standards and Evaluation Manager, and other senior managers with feedback to improve service performance and responsiveness, resolve customer issues, and/ or identify opportunities with the Standards team.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION The post holder must: Be educated to degree level or professional equivalent. The preferred candidate will have experience of working within a Standards and Evaluation type role and preferably have fast jet flight line experience. Hold a Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory Education) or equivalent and have extensive teaching experience in a technical training institution. Have knowledge and experience in course design and development, Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Systems Approach to Training ((SAT) preferably DSAT), testing, standardisation and evaluation of training. Must hold IELTS 7.0 or equivalent if not a native English speaker due to the requirement for ensuring English Language skills across the Technical Studies Institute the successful candidate. Desirable: Must have extensive knowledge and demonstrable evidence of working with external Awarding Bodies, e.g City and Guilds. Hold the Level 4 TAQA Qualification or equivalent (V1). Knowledge and understanding of BAE Systems Training Governance policies and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of Training and Engineering Lifecycle Management processes. Experience and knowledge of RSAF training practices and procedures preferably gained through at least three years involvement with the Company's programmes in KSA. A seasoned professional with proven experience and interpersonal skills to co-ordinate a large number of diverse activities and the ability to communicate, motivate, influence and direct a multinational workforce.
