to join our client a multinational engineering firm's Oil & Gas project team in Qatar for a
4-month extendable contract
. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of designers, assign work scopes, and ensure accurate and compliant deliverables. This role requires strong expertise in piping design for offshore facilities, extensive experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects, and proficiency in E3D and AutoCAD software.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of professional piping designers, defining and assigning scopes of work.
Develop detailed design and construction drawings such as Plot Plans, Piping GADs, Key Plans, Isometrics, and Demolition drawings.
Prepare procurement and construction MTOs from approved drawings and documents.
Ensure all design deliverables comply with QatarEnergy, Shell DEP, and international standards.
Provide design support for non-critical piping supports.
Review and check drawings, ensuring accuracy and technical compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results within project timelines.
Support construction and commissioning phases as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
from an accredited university.
10-15 years of relevant experience
in FEED and detailed engineering of oil & gas facilities (greenfield and brownfield, including offshore).
At least
5 years of detailed design experience in offshore brownfield modifications
.
Minimum
5 years of hands-on experience with E3D modeling software
and at least
10 years of AutoCAD experience
.
Strong knowledge of industry practices, tools, and international codes/standards (QatarEnergy / Shell DEP).
Proven ability to supervise and manage design teams effectively.
Site-based construction and commissioning experience is an advantage.
