Sr. Manager - Network
Job Location : Dubai
Description :
Develop functional strategies and specific objectives for the network team and develop budget/policies/procedures to support the network infrastructure.
Lead and manage a team of network engineers. Provide strategic direction, oversee day-to-day activities, manage all network driven project deliverables, and set clear priorities to achieve department goals and KPIs.
Responsible for network transformation - goals, roadmap, and delivery, to ensure the Nakheel network enables enterprise level throughput and aligns with strategic growth requirements.
Ensure network operations are conducted according to Nakheel IT standards, and in compliance with external standards as defined in department objectives (e.g., ITIL, ISO27001/27002, ISR, NESA, SANS, CIS and similar).
Responsible for the network management and monitoring of the infrastructure of the organization. Lead in the design of Nakheel's network expansion.
Implement standardized network solutions across the landscape, both on-premises and cloud.
Drive improvements for Network Operations (including Level-1 & Level-2 Incident management, Change management and Problem management)
Lead crisis, disaster recovery, security incidents and critical events related activities
Develop and implement innovative network operations processes and tools from concept to delivery with a focus on modern technologies, particularly virtualization, SDN and data analytics.
Manage demands from projects and technology upgrades including recommendations for vendor tools/solutions, evaluation, and alignment of networks.
Manage complex network operations processes based on a combination of internal resources, vendors, and custom solutions.
Responsible to adopt new technologies and tools, recommend improvements to network engineering, and assist in deployments of technologies for POCs in test environment.
Embed cybersecurity and risk management within the department culture and ensure continuous improvement by implementing compliance controls.
Establish coordination, consensus, and execution to mitigate emerging cyber threats to Nakheel network infrastructure.
Manage the network operation centre, administration, and maintenance of the networking infrastructure.
Responsible to implement the modern theories and concepts in network design, configuration, administration, maintenance and/or support.
Manage the Network Tools, Network Engineering, Network Architecture, Network Systems and Programs, and other cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and improvements in network support.
Review, enhance and implement processes to ensure network operations capabilities are resilient to handle emerging and future business requirements.
Ensure service level targets are measured, monitored in real-time, and met the agreed SLA. Address all service-level complaints prior to escalation to the higher management.
Establish network standards and promote governance in future acquisitions to identify and mitigate the risks related to network stability.
Provide subject matter expertise in interactions with partners and customers, program managers, on collaboration projects externally and internally.
Analyse network designs (from conception through implementation, including large-scale routing protocol upgrades and network migrations)
Applies network design and network management expertise.
Acquiring new software and hardware, negotiating service contracts, and building relationships with vendors and service providers
Responsible for the administration and maintenance of Nakheel's network infrastructure and directs team members when necessary
Responsible for all network changes across the Nakheel infrastructure
Responsible for the overall internal network and infrastructure security including firewall administration and access control policies
Analyse the network status and measure & evaluate network performance and propose optimization.
Analyse the Network security status (firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, incident response and escalation, security policy articulation and compliance checking) Troubleshooting and network infrastructure project management
Delivers briefings and presentations for Nakheel IT, Information Technology Centre or other related parties.
Manage changes to improve network availability based on history of problems experienced.
Responsible for the design, implementation, operations, monitoring, and support of the OT systems (Support and monitoring).
Supervise activities and lead the OT team to meet core business goals and objectives.
Responsible to manage the OT Network of Control Rooms, Operational Centres and BMS and ensure the un-interrupted services availability
