G42 Healthcare is looking for a seasoned & proficient Sports Performance Manager with a proven track record to drive sports related projects at G42 Healthcare.

One of our aims is to harness the power of data, AI & the latest technologies available to unlock the true potential of athletes. Responsibilities:
- Oversee sports performance projects (scope to be defined but includes services offered to the UAE mens and womens cycling teams)
- Assume project management roles within the dedicated business unit as directed by the CEO (or senior management)
- Act as the communication link between the AI and engineering teams and the users of the product (Team Performance Director, Team Medical Director, Team Director, athletes); work closely with the Team to understand their needs and the environments (recovery, training and racing) that they operate in
- Work closely with the product manager translating clients needs into pragmatic solutions
- Identify new opportunities in the sports market and develop and execute products and services to take commercial advantage of these
- Explore new potential partners and technologies to enhance the value of the service offered
- Look to incorporating cutting edge technologies (eg -omics, sports tech, hardware, etc) into the sports performance product offering (leveraging off G42’s capabilities and existing partnerships and other relationships)
- Initiate research projects where appropriate, especially those with translational potential
Skills and attributes for success
- Demonstrate leadership, team management and interpersonal skills, including both written and oral communication skills.
- Entrepreneurship, creativity, analytical skill, abstract reasoning, resourcefulness and judgment in the analysis and solution of sports performance, managerial and business development problems.
- Ability to generate new ideas and adaptability to manage uncertainty inherent to innovation.
- Combine commitment to evidence-based practices with pragmatism.
- Have a high-level working knowledge of emerging trends in multi-omics, digital health, artificial intelligence, and medical systems as they relate to sports performance.
- Possess a working knowledge of current scientific approaches to elite athlete health and wellness, sports medicine, sports science / physiology and sports tech and how these can be applied to enhancing athlete performance both as individuals and in the team setting.
- Ability to work in a team with developers and information technology experts.
- Ability to be agile and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Sports science-related degree from a recognised university
- Project management skills
- 10+ years post-graduate experience in a variety of settings demonstrating a portfolio of skills.
- Exceptional people management skills.
- Previous experience working with elite athletes and/or professional sports teams.
- Demonstrated leadership positions in the sports performance industry.
Ideally, you’ll also need
- Experience in using sports tech for athlete performance management
- Experience in clinical research
- A high-level understanding of “omics” and their applications (and limitations) to athlete performance
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Good organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
