Job Title: Specialist /Sr Specialist Compensation & Benefits Division: HUMAN RESOURCES (Personnel, recruitment, Labor Law, Julphar Training center) Country: UNITED ARAB EMIRATES Work Location: UAE (RAK head office) Job Type: Human Resources - Recruitment Specialist Employment Type: Full Time Employment (Limited Contract) : Purpose: Compensation and Benefits specialist is responsible for overseeing compensation and benefits policy of the Company, maintain benefits grids, benchmark compensation against market standards and competition, annual review and implementation strategies. Responsible for overseeing, managing and administering rewards, perks and benefits. Ensure compensation strategy is at par with market standards for attracting and retaining talents. Responsible to ensure consistent and transparent Compensation and Benefits practices are in place supporting organizational objectives and strategies. Key responsibilities & Accountability: \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible to maintain hierarchical structure by conducting job analysis and job evaluation as the business evolves. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assess and evaluate new job roles, changes in tasks and responsibilities, merger of job roles for defining job grade and job titles. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and implement effective compensation and benefits strategy, supporting Company\xe2\x80\x99s objectives, business plans and strategies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Custodian of Salaries and Wages dashboard, trend analysis and report deviation points with respect to budget. \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for all comp. & ben programs of Julphar, including design, implementation, and administration, including analysis of organization wide performance appraisal, general revision and performance merit proposals. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support HR functions for all subjects and requirements related to Comp. & Ben. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with talent acquisition ensuring new hires are with respect to Julphar\xe2\x80\x99s salary bands/ranges and benefit matrix. \xe2\x80\xa2 Define and implement variable pay schemes and rewards & recognitions for achieving business objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Help to establish \xe2\x80\x9cperformance driven culture\xe2\x80\x9d through Comp. & Ben. policies and processes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop, release and update compensation, benefits and rewards policies, processes, approval matrix, eligibilities, terms & conditions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinates C&B processes like the salary planning, bonus planning, new benefits introduction, target / performance setting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible to monitor, and investigate all requests for changes in allowances and pay according to priority and expected benefits and ensure recommendations incorporate analysis of cost-effectiveness. \xe2\x80\xa2 Define a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned to Company\xe2\x80\x99s strategy and business goals. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop a consistent compensation philosophy which addresses the Company\xe2\x80\x99s work culture and objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyses different components of the remuneration scheme in the organization and prepares reports about the internal equity and external competitiveness \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct Comp. & Ben survey, coordinate with external consultants, benchmark job roles and job families with market standards, comp & ben data analysis, identify hotspots and recommendations to management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Define comp and ben policies addressing market gap or inconsistencies, manager internal stakeholder and secure management approval for implementation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Formulate new policies and procedures based on market trends system-wide and ensure that personnel policies and procedures are in line with Labor Laws in UAE. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation and salary policies and procedures and investigate shortfall in salary and allowances, by providing control information and proposing revisions where necessary to ensure that policies meet company objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide clear communication guidelines on all salary and benefits and respond to queries from employees and Department Heads. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that amendments to compliance, labor laws and their repercussions are brought to the attention of the Julphar management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Create benefits schemes that can be harmonized centralized and utilized across the different functions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Propose customization of salary and benefit packages based on the industry and sector of operations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Use various methods and techniques and make data-based decisions on direct financial, indirect financial and nonfinancial compensations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assess employees needs by conducting organizational surveys to find out what motivates and engages employees. \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in salary and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyse and recommend cost controls, HR expenses statements to pinpoint potential areas for improvement. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess an in-depth understanding of the Middle Eastern market, including cultural nuances, regional employment laws, and hiring practices. Qualifications: - Education Bachelor\'s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Professional HR Certifications like CIPD/ SHRM/ ATD/ HRCI is preferred. - Experience: Over 5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefit in a bulk manufacturing organization, Pharmaceuticals is highly preferred. Proven working experience as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist, experience in HR practices and compensation cycle management. Working knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis. Previous experience with Comp. & Ben. surveys and benchmarking. Adequate knowledge of updated labor rules and regulations. Familiarity with various types of variable pay schemes, reward structures and ability to define reward schemes for achieving business objectives. Extensive knowledge of SAP, MS Office and presentation tools. Quantitative and analytical skills Well versed in C&B dashboards, head count and manpower cost analysis. - Training: Key Competencies: Highly result oriented with strong sense of accountability & ownership. Having an analytical mind with ability to think diversely and understand the big picture of the Organization and its core strategies to transform the practice of biased recruitment culture of Julphar High on cost consciousness, having business / financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making. Apply a strategic approach to compensation and total rewards to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. High on negotiation and problem solving skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and decision skills required. Able to develop a professional and cooperative relationships with department heads. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate. High level of integrity, self motivation and discipline.
