Specialist Dermatologist
Job Title: Specialist Dermatologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Dermatologist to provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with diseases of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatological conditions, from common ailments to complex disorders, and will be committed to delivering the highest standard of patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:

• Perform detailed patient consultations, including history taking, physical examination, and diagnosis of dermatological conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Perform dermatological procedures, including but not limited to:
• Skin biopsies (punch, shave, excisional)
• Cryotherapy for warts and pre-cancerous lesions
• Electrosurgery and cauterization
• Intralesional injections
• Incision and drainage of abscesses
• Perform advanced dermatosurgical procedures such as excisions of skin cancers, cysts, and lipomas with appropriate closures.
• Operate and interpret findings from dermatological equipment (e.g., Wood's lamp, dermatoscope).
• Manage chronic skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, and acne.
• Provide urgent care for acute conditions like severe drug eruptions, cellulitis, and generalized exanthems.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records.

Consultative & Collaborative Duties:

• Serve as a consultant for other medical specialists regarding dermatological manifestations of systemic diseases.
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.

Administrative & Professional Duties:

• Adhere strictly to all clinic/hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and peer reviews.
• Maintain absolute confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of work.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• License: Valid DOH (Department of Health) license as a Specialist Dermatologist or a DOH Passer/Provisional License holder.
• Education: Basic Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) and a recognized Post-Graduate Specialization in Dermatology.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience post-specialization in a clinical dermatology setting.
• Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in a wide range of medical and surgical dermatology procedures.
• Personal Skills:
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and a patient-centric approach.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
