Job Description

working directly under the head chef (executive chef). This role involves a combination of culinary and managerial responsibilities to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:



Assisting the Head Chef:

The sous chef helps the executive chef with menu planning, inventory, and managing kitchen staff.

Supervising Kitchen Operations:

This includes overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food.

Quality Control:

Ensuring dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards in taste, presentation, and timing.

Training and Mentorship:

Training new kitchen staff and guiding junior chefs.

Ensuring Cleanliness and Safety:

Managing kitchen hygiene, safety protocols, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Inventory and Supplies Management:

Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:



Culinary Expertise:

Deep understanding of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and kitchen tools.

Leadership and Management:

Ability to lead a team, assign tasks, and maintain order in a high-pressure environment.

Time Management:

Ensuring that food preparation is completed on time, even during peak hours.

Creativity:

Developing new dishes and contributing to menu innovation.

Attention to Detail:

High standards in food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.

Experience:

Typically several years of experience as a line cook or in other kitchen roles before becoming a sous chef.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month

Education:

Diploma (Preferred)
Experience:

cooking: 5 years (Preferred)
Language:
