Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Engineering Duties:

Supervise day-to-day site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Monitor and coordinate subcontractors' works, resolving technical issues on site. Ensure compliance with project schedule, quality standards, and HSE requirements. Conduct inspections and prepare site reports, daily progress logs, and site measurements. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal departments for smooth project execution.

Quantity Surveying Duties:

Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) from drawings and specifications. Assist in tendering, procurement, and cost control processes. Verify subcontractor invoices, variations, and claims. Monitor project budgets, track material usage, and minimize wastage. Support in preparing interim payment applications, final accounts, and cost reports.

Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site practices. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QS-related software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar). Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying (or equivalent). Minimum [3-5] years of experience in a similar role (preferably in [commercial/residential/infrastructure] projects). Knowledge of local construction regulations, standards, and authority requirements. Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
